Abandoned Bear Cub Rescued By Troopers On Route 78 In Union: Njsp

On Wednesday, April 1, at 1:37 p.m., troopers from Troop “B” Perryville Station in Hunterdon County responded to a report of a lone bear cub spotted in a roadside ditch on Route 78 East in Union Township, New Jersey State Police said.

Troopers found the small cub alone and in need of assistance, state police said. He was safely secured, transported back to the barracks, and later released to the Department of Environmental Protection for proper care…
