Middlesex photographer featured in NJ 250 exhibit at Newark Airport

A Middlesex County photographer’s image of the Statue of Liberty rising beneath a full moon will greet millions of travelers this year at Newark Liberty International Airport.

Robert Zurfluh was selected as part of New Jersey’s 250th anniversary exhibition at Terminal A, a large-scale digital art installation showcasing artists from across the state. The display is designed to introduce visitors to New Jersey’s landscape, culture and creative community as they arrive.

The image holds deep meaning for Zurfluh, who emigrated from Bavaria, Germany, more than three decades ago. Seeing the Statue of Liberty for the first time marked his arrival in a new country — and now, his photograph will serve as a visual welcome for others entering New Jersey…
