One person is dead following a police standoff that prompted police to order residents to shelter in place in their basements and delayed a school opening Thursday morning.
The situation unfolded at 5:33 a.m. When officers from the Union County prosecutor’s Office and Lyndhurst Police Department attempted to arrest an individual in front of a home on lake Avenue.
