Four newly promoted Montclair Fire Department officers took the oath of office this week, including the department’s first woman to become supervising fire inspector.
Natasha Richardson became supervising fire inspector, Kevin Stoute deputy chief, and Thomas Hargraves and Peter Albanese captains. Officials honored the group before a packed council chambers on Tuesday.
“This is more than a promotion,” Fire Chief Robert Duncan told the new brass. “It is a call to lead, to mentor, to set a standard to those who follow. The fire service is built on tradition, but it moves forward because of leaders like you.”
