NEW JERSEY (PIX11) — Two of New Jersey’s incumbent mayors will be holding their seats for another term.
Newark Mayor Ras Baraka was projected to win a fourth term with 70% of the vote on Tuesday, according to the AP.

He far outpaced his seven challengers, who included artist Tanisha Garner, developer and contractor Noble Milton, community organizer Sheila Montague, community activist Debra Salters, former Newark Municipal Court administrator Nasheedah Singleton, tech entrepreneur Jhamar Youngblood and Douglas “Rodney” Davis, whose campaign platform includes ending “casual Fridays” in City Hall.
Meanwhile, Andre Sayegh was projected to keep his title as Paterson mayor for a third term with 33% of the vote, results from the Passaic County Clerk show.
