PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Growing up, I always loved to tell stories and dreamed of having a career in journalism. Now at WAVY, this dream is becoming a reality.
I began my journey as a reporter in the halls of Lafayette High School in Williamsburg, Virginia, where I wrote for the school newspaper and co-founded its social media. I used to co-host a weekly web show asking students questions relevant to the community, alongside my peer and friend Jaelyn Palmer. I look back on this time fondly, as it is there my passion for journalism grew exponentially.
Little did I know that WAVY would take me back to where it all started…
