NORFOLK, Va., (WAVY) — A sailor stationed in Norfolk, Va., has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for the coercion and enticement of a minor.
Bailey Dwayne Burnett, 26, received his sentence on June 12. Burnett exchanged several video and image files of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) with another sailor, Zhane Tavern Elamin, in January 2023. He also discussed ways to engage minors.
The Naval Criminal Investigative Service seized Burnett’s cellular phone on Aug. 20, 2025, and found 69 images of CSAM along with numerous platforms and accounts, including two for Mega NZ, a file-sharing service.
