The Madison County Board of commissioners heard a report on Tuesday on the process of hiring a new City of Norfolk and Norfolk Area Economic Director. Board Chairman Troy Uhlir told News Talk WJAG some of the qualities they are looking for in that position.
“Helping establish business all the way through the recruitment and retention of a business coming in,” Uhlir said. “There is a certain amount of housing that comes along with economic development and that person needs to be our eyes and ears on projects to make sure we are coming out ahead as a city and county and not have a developer coming in and taking advantage of us.”…
