ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — The death of a man who had been in custody at an Isle of Wight County hospital earlier this year has been ruled a homicide, his mother told 10 On Your Side.
The incident happened in May at Riverside Smithfield Hospital while an Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s Office deputy was trying to gain control of Kyle Brown, 28, who was having a mental episode, according to his mother, who has now retained a lawyer.
