YORKTOWN, Va. (WAVY) — Four people were rescued from an overturned boat Saturday evening on the York River, according to Abingdon Volunteer Fire & Rescue.
Crews responded to a reported boat emergency near the Coast Guard Training Center Pier at approximately 5:30 p.m.
While responding, an individual on a vessel located and recovered four individuals from an overturned 17-foot Bayliner and safely took them to shore.
