NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Testimony continued Monday, Sept. 14, in the murder trial of Carlos Johnson, Jr., with a prosecution witness describing a scenario that suggested Johnson dumped a body.
Testimony underway in trial against man accused of killing Hampton mom, daughter
Johnson has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the presumed deaths of Keir Johnson and her eight-month-old daughter Chloe, both of whom went missing April 30, 2017. Carlos Johnson was Chloe’s father.
In testimony Monday, Kaheem Delk told the jury he got into a car with Johnson the day Keir and Chloe went missing. Delk said he didn’t realize at first that the Kia Optima sedan belonged to Keir Johnson. The car had her employee badge from Smithfield Packing.
Later that day, Delk testified that Johnson directed him to drive both across the James River Bridge. Johnson told Delk to pull off a side road near a Raceway gas station…
