HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – Hampton Police confirm carbon monoxide poisoning left a woman dead and sent two others to the hospital on September 21.
Officers and fire crews were called to the 0 block of Kenilworth Drive after it was reported that multiple individuals were unconscious inside a residence and that there was a strong odor of gas inside the home. Upon arrival, firefighters detected extremely high levels of carbon monoxide inside the home.
While searching the residence, firefighters located an adult male and an adult female unconscious. Both were removed from the home and taken to a local hospital in life-threatening condition.
