Portsmouth Police have identified a “person of interest” in the case of a 10-year-old boy who was shot and killed on Farragut Street Friday night.
Cleon Deonte Banks, 26, is considered armed and dangerous.
Around 6:15, police were called to a home on Farragut street for a report of a shooting. Officers found the boy who had been shot and attempted life-saving measures.
He died at a local hospital, police said, and his next of kin have been notified.
Another person was arrested on Saturday night in connection to the shooting.
