NORFOLK, Va. (Oct. 6, 2024) … Hampton University sailing team placed eighth at the Oyster Bowl hosted by Old Dominion. The Pirates finished 25 points behind the Fordham Rams. The U.S. Naval Academy’s second team would win the regatta. Coach Alessandro Ambrosi’s Pirates finish the regatta with 354 points. Hampton’s A division tallied 117 points placing the unit fourth out of the nine-team field. The group won a total of two races for HU while placing in the top five on five separate occasions.
