NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — The Newport News Police Department discovered the remains of 22-year-old Tyreek Lemar Vincent on Wednesday.
Vincent was first reported missing on Tuesday, Oct. 1.
Seeking out the public’s help in finding him, officers received a tip on the missing person’s investigation. Utilizing technology, the tip led to the discovery of his remains on Dafia Drive in Hampton.
The case is currently being investigated as a homicide.
