Aggravated murder charge filed in connection to Portsmouth homicide

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Rashaad Sincere Wilson has been charged in connection to the Dec. 10 homicide of 32-year-old Anthony Lamont Jones.

At approximately 10:05 p.m., Portsmouth Police responded to a report about an unresponsive person lying at the intersection of Prentis Avenue and Race Street on Dec. 10.

Upon arrival, officers found Jones suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

On Saturday, Wilson was charged with Aggravated Murder, Robbery (Carjacking) and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
