Governor Glenn Youngkin’s budget recommendation, unveiled Monday, includes a proposed $750,000 cut from area agencies on aging across the state — which could impact local organizations.
That $750,000 would typically go to the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services, which is then disbursed to local nonprofits and agencies. Under Youngkin’s proposed budget, funding would decrease from $41,989,449 to $41,239,449.
