JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — A man was shot and killed by police in the parking lot of a Food Lion off of Richmond Road and Olde Towne Road by the Williamsburg Premium Outlets Sunday afternoon, police said.

James City County Police said the shooting took place around 4:55 p.m. in the parking lot of the Food Lion, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. James City County police and fire departments were at the scene.
