HAMPTON, Va. — Hampton Public School teachers will receive a salary increase for the 2025-2026 school year.
Members of the school board said they wanted to make sure teachers in the division felt valued and appreciated for their roles in developing the minds of students.
“We talk about our teachers truly being the secret sauce in terms of what we do here at Hampton city schools,” said Hampton School Board Chair, Dr. Richard Mason. “Our teachers are in these classrooms teaching every day, so we want to make sure our teachers have the right resources as well but we want them to know that we value them and what they bring to the table.”…
