PPD: Man faces murder charge in Connor Place shooting death

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — A man has been arrested and faces second-degree murder and other charges in connection to the shooting death of a man on Connor Place in Portsmouth last week.

Police ID suspect in fatal shooting on Connor Place in Portsmouth

Hasaun Williams, 28, has been charged not only with second-degree murder, but also the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and malicious shooting in the death of Nikale Kwame Gordon Sr., 32, who was found shot in the one block of Connor Place around 8:21 p.m. May 7, according to Portsmouth Police.

Gordon was found with life-threatening injuries and taken to the hospital, where he later died, police said…
