Yorktown man charged with brandishing assault rifle at 4 people

YORKTOWN, Va. (WAVY) — A Yorktown man was arrested after pointing an assault rifle at four people in a vehicle while in traffic, according to the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office.

On July 4, deputies responded to a report that a man brandished an “AK-47” type rifle at four people in a vehicle.

The victims say they were traveling southbound on George Washington Memorial Highway near York High School when a dark colored vehicle cut in front of their vehicle and almost forced them into a ditch…
