CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Part of Mount Pleasant Road in Chesapeake will close for about two weeks beginning Wednesday to replace stormwater pipes at the railroad crossing, the city of Chesapeake said.
Mount Pleasant Road will close at the railroad tracks between Erik Paul Drive and Chapel Hill Drive. The work is related to the $10.35 million Mount Pleasant Road Phase 2 widening project, which will widen the road with a center lane (two-way left-turn lane), 12-foot wide lanes, and make improvements to curbs and gutters, sidewalks and drainage.
