NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A man was sentenced to 11 years in prison June 27 for conspiring to rob a bank in 2023 and violating his probation from a previous charge, according to the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office in Norfolk.
Anton Demetrius Williams, 23, entered a bank with an unidentified woman on Granby St. Dec. 11, 2023, in which they passed the teller a note saying “you have one minute to put all the loose money in the bag or you will get shot.”
The teller then alerted Norfolk police by pressing the silent alarm and placed $2000 and a tracking device disguised as a bundle of cash in the bag, according to the CA’s office…
