Former Long Valley resident, Megan Roche, recently took part in the FBI Norfolk (Virginia) Field Office Citizens Academy. The eight-week program culminated with a graduation and certificate ceremony on May 21.
Roche said, “I found out a lot about them through previous citizen’s academies. Back in 2017, I took part in the Denville Township’s Police
Academy, and I learned a lot, liked it, and had a lot of fun with it.”
When she and her family moved south to Williamsburg, Virginia in 2020, she searched for like programs near her new home. She did the James City County Police Department Citizens Academy in the spring and summer of 2024, and in the fall of last year, took a course with the York-Poquoson Sherriff’s Office in Yorktown…
