Construction delays cause around 900 William & Mary students to need alternate housing

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) — According to officials with William & Mary, around 900 students will need to be moved to alternate housing due to dorm construction delays.

Construction on the three new residence halls are expected to be completed by mid-to-late October, leaving many students to have to live in alternate housing for around eight weeks.

An official with the university told 10 On Your Side that first-year students will live on campus in the buildings formerly known as the Green & Gold Village and Richmond Hall.
