CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Two Chesapeake police officers were shot and injured late Wednesday night while responding to a domestic call at an apartment on Willow Bridge Court, Chesapeake Police said.
Officers responding to a report of a domestic assault at an apartment in the 500 block of Willow Bridge Court around 10:28 p.m. heard a woman inside the residence screaming for help, according to police, and as officers tried to breach the front door to help the woman, an unknown suspect began shooting at them through the door of the apartment, according to police.
