HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – According to Hampton officials, there’s been a spike in mosquito activity in the city, so they’re fighting back.
The recent increase in adult mosquitoes was discovered during routine surveillance. In response, the city announced it will be conducting a truck spray operation in several Hampton neighborhoods Tuesday, starting at dusk.
Spraying will occur in the following areas:
- Prince George / Prince James
- Ivy Home & Sunset Road
- Northern Old Wythe (Kecoughtan Rd to W. Pembroke Ave)
- Old Fox Hill (Longwood Dr & Cavalier Rd)
- Greenlawn Rd
- Near Kentucky Ave & Pennsylvania Rd
