MATHEWS COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — Two men have been arrested after a pursuit with Mathews County Sheriff’s Office deputies Tuesday.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, John Miles, 54, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, eluding law enforcement, obstructing justice and reckless driving. George E. Marshall, 51, Miles’ acquaintance, faces charges that include possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.
Deputies observed a vehicle driven by Miles strike a curb and run off the roadway in the 10000 block of Buckley Hall Road shortly after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, fleeing the scene soon after. Miles abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot during the pursuit, entering Marshall’s vehicle…
