Seven people injured after accident involving Suffolk fire engine

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Seven people were taken to area hospitals Wednesday afternoon following an accident involving a Suffolk Fire & Rescue engine and a Sprinter van, according to the city of Suffolk.

The accident happened around 12:18 p.m. in the 700 block of Pitchkettle Road as the fire engine was responding to another service call. All seven injuries are considered non life-threatening.
