NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — If you can’t make it to islands, the taste of the islands is near you. With three locations across the region, MP Island Cafe is serving up authentic Jamaican meals while the owners have a plan to fill critical needs in their home country.
“Well, it was unbelievable,” said Mike Palmer, who previously served in the U.S. Navy. “I’ve never seen anything like that before. I’ve heard of a storm and a hurricane that came through Jamaica. And I’ve seen the damage, but nothing like this.”
