NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The new year will bring new schedule and operational changes for Amtrak in Hampton Roads.
In order to accommodate the construction of the $2.3 billion Long Bridge project, aimed at doubling the number of tracks crossing the Potomac River between Virginia and Washington D.C., Amtrak is removing one daily round-trip Northeast Regional train to and from Norfolk and delaying the start of a third daily round-trip train to and from Newport News.
