Boil Water Advisory issued after water main break in Williamsburg; road closures remain

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — Water service has been restored following a water main break in Williamsburg, but a Boil Water Advisory remains in effect Monday for several neighborhoods, according to the City of Williamsburg.

The advisory applies to Highland Park, Katherine Circle, and the Governor’s on North Henry apartments. City officials say sustained periods of low or no water pressure during the break could allow contamination into the water system.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to boil tap water before drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. The advisory is expected to remain in place for approximately 24 hours, and the city will issue notice once it is lifted…
