Hampton Police: 1 killed, 3 injured in multi-vehicle crash

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — One person was killed and three people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash Thursday at the intersection of Floyd Thompson Drive and Commander Shepard Boulevard near NASA Langley Research Center, Hampton Police said.

A passenger in the vehicle that attempted to turn on Floyd Thompson Drive died in the crash. The driver of that vehicle was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, and another passenger in that vehicle suffered non life-threatening injuries, police said.

The driver of the vehicle driving south on Commander Shepard Boulevard also suffered non life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The call for a two-vehicle crash came in around 9:57 p.m. at the intersection of Commander Shepard Boulevard and Floyd Thompson Drive, with officers arriving at the scene to find one vehicle with three people inside and a second vehicle with a single driver…
