Williamsburg mom who pushed for seat belt law change in honor of son reacts to traffic death decrease in 2025

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) — The Williamsburg mother that helped change Virginia’s seat belt law is reacting to recently released data from Virginia State Police.

Preliminary numbers show traffic deaths were down in the Commonwealth last year.

Since July 1,, the Christopher King Seat Belt Law has been in effect. It requires every adult passenger in a vehicle, specifically those in the back seat, to wear a seat belt or face a fine
