PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — More high school graduates are apparently choosing to enroll in trade schools instead of traditional colleges.
The company, Résumé Builder says nearly half of Gen Z’ers are currently working in, or pursuing a blue-collar or skilled trade job.
At Tidewater Community College in Portsmouth, students are learning a skilled trade that can take them anywhere. Students there are ditching the traditional four-year education and the student loan bills that come with it to go into a field in desperate need of skilled workers…
