YORKTOWN, Va. (WAVY) — The ceiling of a classroom trailer at York High School caught fire early Tuesday morning, according to the York County Department of Fire and Life Safety.
Crews were dispatched to the 9100 block of George Washington Memorial Highway at around 5:45 a.m. Upon arrival, they observed smoke coming from the roof of a trailer located adjacent to the York High School parking lot. Fire officials added it was well away from the school building.
An active fire was located inside the trailer, particularly in the ceiling. The fire was extinguished by 6:30 a.m.
