NORFOLK, Va. — Drivers heading west on I-264 are running into major backups on Thursday morning after two separate crashes shut down lanes in both Norfolk and Virginia Beach.
According to VDOT, the first crash happened in Norfolk, close to the I-64 interchange. The left shoulder, left lane, and center lane are all closed, leaving traffic crawling through the area as crews work the scene.
Another crash farther east near Witchduck Road in Virginia Beach is adding to the trouble. The right center lane, right lane, and right shoulder are closed on I-264 West, causing heavy congestion…
