NORFOLK, Va. — The Virginia Zoo will host Kiss & Tail, their annual adults-only (21+), strolling brunch event celebrating Valentine’s Day, on Sunday, February 8 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tickets include tasty bite-sized appetizers, cocktails, a behind-the-scenes tour of World of Reptiles, an exclusive Super Bowl themed ZooLive! Stage show, the chance to name a cockroach after your ex, spicy facts about dating and mating in the animal kingdom, unique giveaway prizes, and more. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable event designed for both singles and sweethearts to have fun while learning what separates the birds from the beasts!
Attendees will enjoy a leisurely visit to the World of Reptiles, spotting scaly creatures in a less crowded environment. Tickets to this event offer the rare opportunity to bask in the joy of private access to the World of Reptiles building, as it will be closed to the general public. Plus, guests will have the chance to take a peek at behind-the-scenes areas and chat with our Herpetology Keepers. Expert Zoo staff and volunteers will be posted throughout the building to answer your burning questions about love in the animal kingdom.
The Zoo has also added several new activities to the event lineup, including the chance to send your favorite Zoo resident an enriching Valentine, to name a cockroach after your ex, or to shop a Valentine’s Day themed vendor market. Every guest can write heartfelt notes to their favorite animals on heart-shaped cards. Messages will then be delivered to the Zoo animals on February 14 to make their Valentine’s Day as enriching and special as your Kiss & Tail event experience! Plus, for a donation to the Virginia Zoo, you can name a cockroach or rodent that will be fed to an animal! With your donation, you will receive a digital certificate to share on your social media channels, and you will be named in the credits of a Valentine’s Day video post showing the named cockroaches and rodents as they are fed to the Zoo residents.
