Get ahead of sticker shock before energy bills are mailed

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Dominion Energy customers welcomed the New Year with a rate hike that added about $11 to the average monthly bill, and now pile on the cost of keeping your home warm during back-to-back snow falls.

“And so we want customers to know that we’re here to help,” said Cherise Newsome, a spokesperson for Dominion Energy. “We also want to reassure customers that when it’s cold, we’re not going to disconnect you. When it’s freezing, when it’s forecasted to be freezing or below, we will not disconnect customers.”
