NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — One person suffered minor injuries in a house fire Wednesday morning on Lakeside Drive, according to the Newport News Fire Department.
Units responded to the 000 block of Lakeside Drive in reference to a structure fire at approximately 6:50 a.m. Upon arrival, crews found one resident with minor injuries related to the incident.
Fire officials said the individual was treated on scene, reported to be in stable condition and taken to Riverside Hospital for further evaluation.
