CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Water woes are flowing around Hampton Roads, with a second resident telling 10 On Your Side she faces a staggering bill of her own — one approaching $7,000 for a month.
A Chesapeake woman, Shenelle Hawkes, said she found out too late she owes $6,788 on her water bill. It comes after a Norfolk woman shared that her water bill had increased over the past year, from about $250 to more than $5,000.

“What do I think about that? I think it’s insane,” Hawkes said. “Like, how did that happen? I do not know. I guess I am paying for the whole Georgetown Manor.”
The city of Chesapeake told 10 On Your Side there is “absolutely relief available for customers who find themselves in this situation.”…
