YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — What began as a vehicle fire at a local business has grown into a broader investigation involving multiple arsons and burglaries across York County.
On Feb. 8, deputies responded to Peninsula Heavy Duty on George Washington Memorial Highway for reports of vehicles on fire. Investigators quickly determined the flames were intentionally set.
“It was obvious the car doors were open on many of the vehicles there,” said Sheriff Ron Montgomery with the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office. “They had been rummaged through.”…
