1 person rescued after getting stuck in Seaford creek mud

YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — A person was rescued after being stuck in creek mud Monday morning in Seaford, according to the York County Fire and Life Safety.

Personnel were dispatched to the 100 block of Cheadle Loop Road at approximately 8:45 p.m. in reference to an individual in the water requiring rescue. A resident of a nearby home heard an individual calling out for help and immediately dialed 911.

First responders arrived to find an adult stuck in the mud in the middle of a Seaford area creek. They were able to retrieve the individual using a kayak and safely returned them to shore…
