Police arrest Norfolk man in Oceanfront shooting that wounded 6 people

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Virginia Beach police have made another arrest in connection to the Oceanfront shooting that injured six people earlier this month.

On March 18, 2026, the Virginia Beach Police Department arrested 20-year-old Alex G. Scott Jr. of Norfolk for his alleged role in the March 7 shooting.

Scott Jr. is charged with one count of attempted robbery, one count of conspiracy to commit robbery, five counts of aggravated malicious wounding, one count of malicious wounding, eight counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony, one count of attempted malicious wounding and six counts of felony reckless handling of a firearm…
