Group of Good Samaritans save driver trapped in sinking car

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A man in Chesapeake is lucky to be alive, as a group of Good Samaritans helped rescue him Wednesday after his car ran off the road and into the waters of Indian Creek, trapping him in the car as it began to sink.

Resident Chris Kenny said he was driving home from dinner with his kids when he saw the car in front of him run off the road and end up in the creek.

“He went off the right side of the road,” Kenny said. “It then struck the ditch on the right side and went airborne. “He crashed, unfortunately, through the neighbor’s fence and then went into the water.”…
