JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — A Toano man was charged in connection with the death of his girlfriend’s dog after a domestic dispute earlier this month, according to James City County Police.
On March 1, officers responded to a reported domestic disturbance in the 2500 block of Little Creek Dam Road at approximately 1:15 p.m.
During an investigation, officers discovered that a 3-year-old female American pit bull terrier named Gigi had allegedly been injected with a prescription medication that was not prescribed to her. Police said the dog reportedly collapsed and lost motor control shortly afterwards…
