NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — City officials in Newport News are making an emotional appeal for help in locating a missing 16-year-old girl who disappeared last week, as police continue an extensive search effort across the city.
Police Chief Steve Drew said investigators have canvassed between six and eight miles of dense wooded areas near where Marwa Barakzai was last seen after getting off her school bus Thursday.
