More than 1,200 gather for ‘No Kings’ protest in Newport News, organizers say

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — More than 1,200 people gathered Saturday morning at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Oyster Point Road in Newport News for what organizers call the third “No Kings” protest in the area.

The rally, organized by Peninsula Indivisible, is part of a broader nationwide day of demonstrations, with similar events held across the country.
