Construction project to modernize Fort Eustis main gate begins

FORT EUSTIS, Va. (WAVY) – Joint Base Langley-Eustis leaders and project stakeholders broke ground March 11 on a modernization project for the Fort Eustis main gate in Newport News. The renovation is designed to upgrade the installation’s access control point to improve security and traffic efficiency.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will oversee the construction, which aims to enhance safety for service members and civilians. The ceremony held at the Virginia installation marked the official start of work on the facility’s primary entrance.
