Three arrested after 15-year-old shot and killed in James City County

JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. — One adult and two juveniles have been arrested after a 15-year-old was shot and killed Sunday evening in James City County, police said.

Officers with the James City County Police Department were dispatched to the 100 block of Dehaven Court around 6:32 p.m. following reports of gunfire. When officers arrived, they found the teen suffering from a gunshot wound. Police said the boy was taken to Riverside Regional Medical Center, where he later died.

On Monday, police said 18-year-old Omari-Ahmad T. Martin of Williamsburg was charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. A 17-year-old boy from York County and a 16-year-old boy from James City County were also charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, as well as possession of a firearm by a juvenile…
